Welcome to the Hale Mahina Resort on the west side of Maui. Hale Mahina is a small complex with four stories and 52 units of ocean front living. Most units are individually owned and operated. The purpose of this web site is for individual owners to promote their respective units and to communicate with each other. Hale Mahina is a special place where family and friends love to gather. However, please be aware that the booking of large groups and multiple units is discouraged in an effort to preserve the ambiance and amenities for all guests staying at the resort. We kindly request that when making your reservation if you are booking as a group, that your party does not exceed more than 12 persons and no more than 3 separate units are booked for the same time period. West Maui is now open to visitors and areas (other than Lahaina) are fully functional. The local grocery stores, restaurants and coffee shops are open and fully stocked. We are welcoming all visitors back to Hale Mahina and encourage you to support the local economy.
A number of sinkholes have appeared on the property which restricts access to the lawn in some areas. These areas are cordoned off for guest safety. In 2026, repairs to the seawall will begin and will continue into 2027. The work will involve excavation and seawall reinforcement work with heavy equipment. The ambiance of Hale Mahina will be affected but we will try to maintain access to the beach area on the southside of the property. Check back for updates on the progress and view the webcam for a real-time picture of the work.
